Pulling security guard. On Thursday, we fired our weapons for the first time and slept out for the first time, setting up our tents. And we grouped our bullets, so it’s within a 4 cm circle. The grouping went really well for me, I shot the target 300 meters away all the time except I missed once out of 18 times we shot. We get 3 round magazines every time, get into our foxhole, have another soldier in training coach us, grip the pistol grip and squeeze the trigger with the tip of index finger, while supporting the weapon with our non-dominant hand in between the m16/A2 rifle and sandbags that we flush, and make sure we use the same sight picture all the time and remember to relax. Shooting takes a lot more concentration than I thought.
