UC Berkeley 226 – Berkeley, California – 2006

Got to meet the CEO, Anne Mulcahy, and CFO, Larry Zimmerman, of Xerox today. I felt that the two complemented each other very well and the fact that Anne Mulcahy was obviously very excited to see us didn’t hurt, either. It was a great experience, sitting there and just listening to the two answer questions. I’m hoping that every one of us in this internship program will one day be the ones answering the same type of questions as future leaders of global corporations.

Charlyn’s car broke down on the way back to the IBM White Plains office. So we took a bit longer to get back, but the more frustrating part of the day came when my computer started turning itself off. Since the IT people had already gone home, I couldn’t do much, but my co-worker, Michael, took some time off to explain the company and how Sales & Distribution looks at each of the Brands, Channels, Industries and Geographies. It was a lot of information and I’m glad I wrote everything down.
