I’ve studying for the GMAT and it’s been long time coming. I’ve had these books for almost 5 months now, and today I think I got a little better idea on how I’m doing. I still need to work on my math skills. But I’m doing better in the verbal sections. One of the sections that was demoralizing me was the sentence correction section. At first, I was literally getting every other question wrong. Today, I got 1 out of 18 wrong. It’s given me a bit more confidence to keep moving forward. Doesn’t mean that I’m showing nearly as much progress in other sections, though, so Harvard will have to wait.
I’ve gotten a lot more responsibilities, now that I’m a plan coordinator. It’s been tough since I officially took the job 3 weeks ago, and this past Friday has been one of the toughest. The revenue coordinator was on vacation. The forecast coordinator took half a day off. My boss didn’t come in to work and called me to get a couple more things done. All of a sudden, I had become not the go to guy necessarily, but the only guy to get information. I took a break this Saturday, reflecting on how almost 6 months ago I had come in to this job, not knowing what to expect. And people were now expecting me to give them information on an accurate and timely fashion. Doesn’t mean that they don’t give me extra stuff to do to keep me busy, though. It was one of the tougher Fridays. Don’t they know that Fridays = don’t give me any work to do day?
