Went to go get a haircut. The woman there I think personally sucked, and it wasn’t worth 11 bucks I think. I’ll try the other lady 10 yards down the road also charging 11 bucks. The reason I didn’t go there the first time? Well, the one woman already had 2 people in line and Patrick was running out of time, so I said let’s go to the one down the street. Well, I can see why she didn’t have too many customers, cuz she only used one razor and my hair’s kind of lop-sided? But yeah, it’s fine I suppose. Came back home, and called lots of places. Army actually called me back today, and the Military Intelligence unit said that they’re highly interested in having me there, which is really good news. But I’m trying to decide betweeen a Medical unit and the Military Intelligence unit. The MI unit seems to be more squared-away, but the Medical unit most likely allows me to keep my bonus, the MI doesn’t. I’m going to the drills on the 14th and the 15th, so I guess I’ll find out then, they’re practically across the street, persay. They said I could also try to apply to go Airborne, Airassault, but they have more slots for AirAssault. Well, it’s a lot harder, but hell, I WANT TO DO IT! So the first thing I’m going to do after changing units permanently? Sign up for a slot in the AirAssault school. They also have overseas training, which I qualify to go to, also. Which means I get an overseas reserve component ribbon, a 3 year reserve service ribbon (soon), bringing my total tally up to 5 ribbons, AND! I get to go to Korea, for free, and visit my relatives/friends, for free!. WOW. Amazingly good news. Well, that call came too close to my class leaving schedule, and the English teacher doesn’t allow us to be late, so I had to cut it short, but the 20 minuet call was really insightful. Scheduled a meeting for Friday, 6 Sep 02 at 1000 hours. He called a couple days later saying he has to cancel that, just come to our drill on the 14th and the 15th. Class, return. Went to ABA (Asian Businses Association) meeting at 7. It was nasty seeing so many Asians there. I mean it’s as if we’re not segregated enough, we have to make Asian clubs to promote that? Plus their little skits and newsletters did nothing but tell everyone about the cabinet members, who, to my sarcastic astonishment, I know of no role, only a vague idea of their i-am-better-than-thou personality. I don’t even know what the club does for you, what kind of tips it can give to help you get into Haas. The president acted like a fag and I just didn’t like the whole atmosphere. Maybe so many of them feel out of place with white people they’re surrounded by. Back home, nightly routine.
