Went to Merrill Lynch for internship stuff once again.  What I did basically was telemarketing.  I had to call down the list of people and ask them if they would be interested in attending a seminar regarding securing retirement assets.  It sucked ass.  I didn’t like it at all, because I didn’t want to be involved with this kind of business.  Well, after a couple hours of doing this, it all came down to her asking me how it’s going.  I told her the truth, that I am not progressing at all, and people are not home, and I’m leaving messages on their answering machines, and that I doubt people would respond back.  Also, the residents that were home were not very happy that I called, and when I asked them if they were interested in the seminar, replied, ‘absolutely not!’ and hanged up on me.  I told her it would be wiser if we mail this, and she responded positively, saying that this is what internship’s all about, about having positive input and stuff, so we’ll do something else other than this telemarketing technique.  I also helped 2 other new interns with their paperwork, Stella from Korea and Susan Kum from Whitney, and even though I only have 2 more days of work than them, it was pretty cool being able to help them out and stuff.  Went to class, came back home early, and got ready for my brother to come home.  He did around 8:30 ish PM, and well, brought a vast amount of foods, materials and mischellenious objects that I requested he accomodate himself with.  Slept in the couch at about 2AM.
