Got lots of things done today. I had to bike on over to west oakland again to pick up my NOBE, or notice of basic eligibility for my GI Bill, the military scholarship. I got the paperwork done for transfering units, it seems like now all I have to do is play the waiting game. Then I got my bonus papers done too, but I have to wait for that to come, at least another month or so. Then I came back home, tried to buy this cell phone for my brother but best buy didn’t have them in stock, so there went that idea. Then I tried to change my banks for direct deposit from the army. That didn’t work out too well, either, since their computer was down. So I waited for nothing, I suppose. Came back home for an hour, and went over to see the Veteran’s Affairs person named Gladys Henderson at the college center. She’s new at it cuz she’s never done it b4, but yeah, seems like I have to go again on Monday to get some paperwork done still, sigh… a lot of things still left to do, things to finalize, but at least it came this far. Came back home, took a two hour nap, and went to FICB with my brother. A lot of people know him there, and then some people responded, oh, I can see the resemblance now, that was fun. The message was alright, it could have been better. And his answers for some questions were illusive and not very well described. I certainly gained a lot of respect for my mother who seems to know all the right ways to describe these things for me. Went to Alpha Delta Phi with my brother to visit his friend Marcus who is also 2LT in the Army and lives in the frat house still. It was a pretty fun experience, I got to know him a bit better. I was just coming home at midnight when Tony was heading out to Bowle’s Halloween party. I said to myself what the hell, I’ll just go. So I did. It was quite a walk, and a bit of running, too, since we had to get these wristbands for entrance. Stayed there for about 5 minutes. Turns out it’s a party alright, but one that you would probably wanna go just to get laid or something. This day, I found out that I was gonna go shopping with Tiffany on the 2nd. I didn’t know about it until Tony told me that’s what’s gonna happen. So there goes that…
