UC Berkeley 124 – Berkeley, California – 2002

Nothing but Calculus test study.  I worked my ass off.  Went to Walgreen’s and bought a couple boxes, then I biked back to the Cal Store for a couple scarves that I chose to buy earlier this year, and I sent those this day.  That’s going down to buy the box, going back up the hill to buy the scarves, going back down to mail them, and comig back up.  Reason being, I forgot to buy it on the way down.  I know, it’s my fault, but damn, 6 miles of biking going up and down hills isn’t too much fun.  Especially when my back wheel is so jacked up.  My front break doesn’t work, one of my handlebar protectors is falling out, the pedal obstructs with the framwork, and the rear wheel also interferes with the frame.  Something was really messed up with my bank account.  I tried to cash in some checks that was mailed in my other name.  But they said they can’t accept that, and even if they did, it would get sent back.  So I sat and talked with the manager for about 15 minutes, and she came to the conclusion that I had to choose between one name or the other.  But I get checks for both of my names, my military (social security) and civilian (passport) names.  So I was in a little dilemma, thinking I need to create another account in Bank of America or something.  Then I asked her as a final resort, what if I bring proof that my name actually is both of them, I mean in my passport name, it has my social security name as my middle name.  So she said, really?  So it says, this this this?  I said yeah, it is.  She said yeah, bring that in, we’ll punch in the names, and you can cash in both checks from now on if you want.  So that was kind of strange situation I don’t ever want to get involved with ever again, but it was settled pretty nicely.  Got my credit card today!  My first credit card ever!  I had two check cards before, (Washington Mutual and Fort Jackson), but this is my first credit card.  I have a 500 dollar credit limit now, but I’m going to work on extending that and build up good credit.  Yup, here I go, getting ready to be completely independent.
