I left the headlights on today after picking up/dropping off/picking up Tiff at the Oakland Hospital. So of course after 9 hours the batteries were dead. I thought at first it was the car alarm battery. So I walked all over Berkeley and in my 10th or so stop at the Camera shop I finally got the CR2025 3 volt battery. I came back, and it still didn’t work. So I called up a couple people I knew, and blam! Dennis the menace just happened to live next to me, just happened to be on his way back from school, just happened to have jumper cables and just happened to know how to use them. Am I thankful? Man, I don’t know. What a big coincidence. First the bike trip to David at UCI and the trip back cuz his roommate had a car and was driving back up to Cerritos.
I also got a parking ticket for parking on sunday at this lot I didn’t know was exclusive. 32 dollars… well, at least it’s not that bad, but I’ll have to try and be more conservative… It’s just so impossible to find parking at Berkeley.
Tomorrow is a big day. I seriously want to impress this girl but I don’t wanna overcompensate. I think that’s one thing that I don’t do very well is being myself around strangers. I just know I’m gonna call her and she’s gonna say something came up. And that will be that. But nevertheless I took the day at recon for the night. I came across this one place by accident. Not too far, not too close, but still had a nice view of the bay, and it had a stretched road that connected it to the berkeley marina. Then I found this nice looking chinese restaurant, and it looked expensive, but there was only 5 or 6 tables inside that were filled. So I don’t know… I should give it a try sometime though.
I’m trying out soft contact lenses. But I dont’ like them because my eyes get dry so easily, and it’s a pain to put on/take off. I like the fact that with hard I can take them off if I want to but I can also just go to sleep with them on, too, if i wanted to. So now I have to think twice about taking a nap. And that just gets me tired because then I’m indecisive.
3 Midterms in 24 hours. Monday, Stat and Econ. I did pretty well in Stat, I’m sure I got an A. But in most of my math classes, my first test usually ends up in a B. I hope this one proves me otherwise. Econ, I dont’ know what that was… better luck next test. CIS 1 was harder than I thought. It went through all this technicalities that I didnt’ expect from a beginning CIS class. But the class weight scale is so obscure I’m not worried about that.
