Ok so I know it’s still the top of the 8th inning right now with the world series, but damn, what a painful ending in baseball. I wanted the Cardinals to win because they beat the Dodgers, since I don’t follow neither the Sox or Card games very much. But you know what, it was an exciting season, and baseball is always America’s pastime.

If you buy one song from iTunes (or however you get your hands on music) download Citizen Erased by Muse. They’re a 3 man band and Matthew Bellmy is an awesome lead guitarist/vocalist/pianist. And it’s a great song by a good band. If you get more than one, also get Butterflies and Hurricanes. You don’t get away with this kind of music too often nowdays.

So I got my results from the 4 midterms I took 2 weeks ago. It’s been great, especially since I was stressing more I think from waiting for the results than the actual test itself. UC Applications are due soon so I should get going on that, too.

The softball game on Monday was pretty good. I wasn’t going to go because I had an essay due the next day refuting a book by a male heterosexual turned lesbian transvestite about why gender is bad. And it was raining pretty bad too. But I’m glad I went. I hit 1 for 3 with no runs or runs batted in, but I had a couple plays at home plate that I felt contributed to cutting the losses. I was the last batter out, and I slid on first base. It wasn’t until I got home that I found out my elbow took the hit on that one.

My brother says his unit’s going to Afghanistan next May. I hope his deployment goes well for him, although I just might join his venture with the military intelligence unit here and go to Iraq around the same time.

I might vote Republican this year. Not for George or John, but because I just don’t want to see Teresa Heinz Kerry in the freaken White House.
