I got an offer from Deloitte Consulting. Although I already committed with IBM, Tony says I should screw IBM and go with Deloitte. I remember telling Patrick, you know, if I work hard enough, I bet I can get Deloitte. Right now, I’m just satisfied that I got the offer.

• HR Operations: focus on assisting clients in achieving lower cost, higher quality alternatives in delivering HR services to their customers, maximizing efficiency and effectiveness and improving operations and processes; work with clients to support HR transformation; provide advisory services for clients considering outsourcing; work with clients to design and implement HR shared services or outsourcing delivery models; design HR web portals.
• HR Technology: focus on increasing HR efficiency and effectiveness through design and implementation of technology-enabled business solutions; define business needs and the appropriate technology solutions; and implement HR technologies and solutions including large ERPs such as SAP, PeopleSoft and Oracle as well as targeted point solutions.
• Change Leadership & Learning: focus on assisting clients improve their ability to manage corporate, organizational and programmatic change; develop corporate universities and enterprise learning and knowledge management programs; facilitate large scale technology/process/regulatory change through integrated change, training, and communications; conduct strategic and program communications.
Duties and Responsibilities
Human Capital Summer Scholars support teams on client project delivery in a variety of industries, developing broad HR and business consulting skills or specialized skills. Primary activities include concentrating on client project delivery and internal practice growth through researching and assessing industry best practices and business trends, aiding in the creation of client presentations, and assisting in the development of sales proposals. With this much on the job training, our Human Capital Summer Scholars learn the building blocks for a career in Human Capital consulting.
