I’ve been really busy ever since I got up here in Berkeley on the night of the 11th of January. I didn’t have any classes on Wendsday, but there were several things I needed to do. I went through 3 weeks of mail, some good, some junk, and paid 2 bills. I also had to clean up for the mess I left here in the Berkeley residence befor I left, because I was in such a hurry that I didn’t manage to clean up all the stuff before I took off. But mostly I played around with my guitar and my amp, downloaded more music, and just relaxed, because I was still mostly sick from the cold.
The 12th I stopped by Best Buy to buy a 120 Gig hard drive for 100 bucks, 50 bucks after rebate. Next to Home Depot to pick up som blinds for the living room, because most of it had fallen off and I had to get new ones so it’s not so freaken bright in the morning it wakes me up every time. Then to the bank to deposit some outstanding checks, picked up a couple pieces of mail from the Durant mail place, and headed to Safeway to buy milk and orange juice.
The 13th I had dental appointment in the morning, then an English class (beginning of semester) right after, and FICB Winter Retreat right after that. I was still fairly sick from the trip to Germany the week before, so the ride really sucked and I had trouble staying awake, but it was overall a good experience.
The 16th, before I picked up Eric and Patrick, though, I went to Ned’s to buy about 180 bucks worth of books. Then to Gap to refund this dress sweats I didn’t really like, but since I didn’t have a receipt, I could only get something for store credit. And the guy was trusting me with the 25 dollar price tag because he says now it’s down to 7 bucks… Well, I had bought it to reach 75 bucks a month ago because they gave out 15 dollar gift certificates if I bought 75 bucks worth of crap. So I was planning on refunding it most likely to begin with. So I had 40 bucks worth of stuff I could just get, so I picked up a backpack and a couple t shirts.
I did my laundry today, some of them from even before winter break, most of them leftovers from Cerritos, and more I had collected since my time here, and some I just can’t wear anymore because of the change in weather I never got around to washing.
I listed 9 books for sale on half.com on Monday night, and by the morning on the 19th, I already sold 5 of them for about 160 bucks total. The other 4 are fairly useless anyway, but it was annoying packing all these boxes and carrying them to the post office to get them mailed.
Yesterday, the 18th, was one of the busier days. I woke up at 9, ate some breakfast as usual, and headed down to my online History 7B class orientation. After that was over and done with, I took care of my GI Bill so I can start receiving them for the past semester and this semester to come. I then stood in line for 30 to mail two shirts that don’t belong to me but to my cousin Albert who is living with my parents right now. And about 3 books I managed to sell, too. Then English class. I got back in time to chill out for a bit. Then Political Science class at 6:30. It started sharply at 6:30 and ended sharply at 9:30. That was really upsetting because it was the first freaken class of the entire semester.
