I am enjoying work, although it is becoming monotonous, and I am not enjoying it as much as I did at one point. I am frustrated that these Financial Consultants are always too busy to answer questions in detail, and I am becoming increasingly convinced that becoming a Financial Consultant is not something I want to do because it requires cold calling people you dont’ know to become your clinet and manage their money for them. However, there is still potential for learning for the next 6 weeks.

I am finally filling out my disability compensation. I will try and claim my TMJ as well as my back pain. I can potentially get anywhere between 100-2000 dollars a month for the rest of my life and also send my kids to college for cheap too. I will probably get between 100-500 a month, because it’s not like I lost a limb, although I am in immense pain, so I expect to get something out of it.

I also received an incredible phone call from the Veteran’s hospital. Apparently, I accidentally put myself into a waiting list of some sort to get my TMJ and wisdom teeth evaluated by a civilian doctor. So for the past year, without even knowing it, I was on this waiting list. So they will send me a confirmation letter that my request has been approved. So the VA should cover the good part of 10000 dollars that we invested in my jaw. When they will actually pay that, I don’t know. But I just also got my claim for 5 out of the 10 months of the foreign language pay that the army owes me… dating back to may – sept of 2003. So who knows? But good news is good news.

Patrick finally started working. He bought a 2005 Honda Accord, basic of the basic models with no options for about 17000. It looks awesome. So we are going to drive down for the 4th of July weekend so I can stock up on some food and see mom again before Thanksgiving. I also received a call from our uncle in Korea, and he spoke to me in English so I didn’t really recognize him. Grandpa also emailed me. Perhaps I should try and make my way to Korea this summer. My internship and summer school both ends on the 12th of August, and school starts around the 27th.

Dad also called me. He is in fine spirits and got his first job at a Gi Do Won. I am happy for him and am overjoyed to maintain a line of communication.
