UC Berkeley 17 – Berkeley, California – 2002

Well, I know I am keeping myself busy, but I am not too sure of what. I know I am always busy with trying to find and contact Army units to transfer to still, but that’s another business. The closest one from here is 6 miles away. I have two options. Wake up at 6, get to the Bart station down at Shattuck Downtown Berkeley 1.5 miles down the road by 6:20, transfer to another Bart rail at 6:40, get to the East Oakland Station by 7, and somehow get to my unit by 7:30, which is 1.5 miles away from the Bart station. All in all, this is somewhat convenient but takes a long time nevertheless and also money. The other option takes basically the same amount of time, but I have to bike there. I don’t know which is better, but I will probably bike instead. 6 miles there and 6 miles back for a weekend a month. Not a bad exercise/way to start/end a weekend. I’m thinking about going into either the MI (military intelligence) or the medical unit there, but I think I will take the MI unit since I am particularly interested in that. It took me forever to figure this out last night, well, about 4 hours actually, looking into all the hundreds of Army units in California, looking at which one’s most interesting and closest at Mapquest.com, figuring out how I can take the BART to the Army unit in West Oakland, and basically making a list of things to ask and stuff. I’m bummed out cuz it took me so long to find out so much information, but in all actuality, I haven’t gotten anywhere. Anyway, I started the day late again at 11AM (I can really use a job), and went to school at 4PM. I haven’t learned a single thing yet from Calculus teacher, and this day didn’t make a difference. He’s so freaken hard to understand, I guess I’ll have to make do and study from the book from now on. Anyway, I came back, and I had this HUGE fetish over this Korean commercial I saw when I was at Korea. Well, it took me 2 hours to go through and figure out how to actually find this commercial on video online, and after those 2 hours, it took me another 2 hours to try and find out this woman’s name. And guess what? I never did find out her name or find any more of her pictures or videos anywhere! I can’t believe this… but I am glad that I found the video and at last, I HAVE IT! Was it worth the 4 hour trek? That’s for me to know and for you to find out. But at least I have it.
