Well, I woke up at 7:30 to the beat of this new techno station at Berkeley Tony found out through his school. The sucky thing is, he kept it going for 2 hours, and none of us were not lazy enough to get up, turn it off, and go back to sleep. I also found out recently that the sun’s in my eyes while I’m lying in bed at 8:30 AM. Patrick called at 9:30 AM, I got ready and we were both at AG Edward’s for his interview by 10:45, taking the BART subway again for 1 dollar and 10 cents each way. He got the job, which is REALLY good news, but it doesn’t seem like the job is to the caliber that both of us were expecting really. But at least he got it. I found out that I didn’t get hired from Cal Student Store or the Copy Central cuz they’re not looking for applicants right now. So why do they have signs saying now hiring, still?! sigh… I only wish things could be more routine with a stable job. But so far, I got offered the 8AM till noon job for Sundays at First Presbyterian, for selected Sundays, 10 bucks an hour, doing office staffing work. I suppose that’s a good thing. Stopped by GAP to get Stephen 30 bucks in gift certificate for his bday, also got a birthday card to go along with that. Ate at Fat Slice, where Patrick ate 2 of those fat slices, way to go Patrick! Came back home around 2. Called a few more places I saw on classified ads, played around till 5 PM, when they had the KCPC Fellowship meeting, starting at 5 instead of 7 cuz it’s welcome week for us freshman. Met Wonnie, Meriel, Edwin. But I haven’t seen Theresa for a while, and to see her again was amazing. She’s still very beautiful, fellas, and to my disbelief, single. I can’t wait to hear her CD. Hopefully my next door neighbor Julie can get me a copy =) But anyway, met some kid named Jacob from the Telegraph Commons, another kid named Abraham and a Chinese guy named Albert. I liked the Albert kid cuz he’s pretty outgoing and such, but he’s also tall (6’4″, high school basketball), and I found it pretty amazing for him to just come and sit with a Korean oriented church. Really nice guy. Met Aconine and Elise, both of them Korean, although I don’t know if I spelled the first girl’s name right, but they were all excited that I was from Cerritos. I suppose everyone here is from Cerritos, and they were like, oh you went to Whitney, do you know so and so. Met Connie, I hadn’t seen her for awhile, and I suppose she hasn’t changed much in the last 2 years. The service I think was alright, but the sermon wasn’t really eyeopening, and could have been better organized, I thought. It was a difficult subject anyway, trying to appeal to welcome night and attempt to be unique in delievery from other welcome nights at different church groups. The games and the video they had was awesome, and I had a lot of fun with both, met some interesting people that I wouldn’t have gotten to know otherwise. Stephen just got home, saying we didnt have to get him the gift certificates. Yeah we didn’t have to, but we did, and we didn’t forget. We know it’s not much, but Happy birthday!
