Went to work at 8, so I had woken up at 7:30.  Turns out that there was a huge miscommunication.  Everything started wrong.  I was supposed to be there at 8:30 instead, and there was supposed to be someone to train me on the job as I progressed along, except there was nobody there.  I was very close to just leaving when there came in a person that usually doesn’t do that, David Lyons, that came in and helped me out a lot.  I really liked his name, sounded like a loyalty’s name kind of thing.  Met a couple other people, Billie in charge of staffing the office work, Rebecca that came in once in a while, and learned a lot about how a church operates behind the scenes, what helps the church work and function.  I can’t believe I’m getting that kind of experience, getting paid, and learning so much and helping people at the same time.  And when there’s nothing to do, I just brought a book I can read.  Went home at 12:30, having earned my 40 bucks.  Then immediately following thereafter, I went home, waited for Tony for about 15 minutes, and we both headed off to Pier 39 at 1:30, where Patrick and Tiffany were already awaiting for us to experience fleet week first hand.  We arrived around 3PM, and witnessed the mighty Blue Angels strut their stuff in the bay.  Amazing stuff!  They did all sorts of tricks and acrobatic movements that I thought would surely result in a crash, but damn… Afterwards, headed off to the Ghiradelli, and after waiting for 30 minutes, we ordered the Earthquake.  Huge, 8 scoop, 10 toping wonder.  We finished off that phenomenon with a fatality alright, but it was too sweet.  I don’t think I’ll order the 20 dollar sucker again anytime soon, unless we have a couple more people to even it out some.  Then we were just walking back when we watched this Korean guy doing artistic lettering for people’s names, so I got mine done in my favorite color green, and Tiffany got hers in purple for loyalty…  Then caught the crowded bus back to the Bart station, shopped at Old Navy for about 30 minutes, bought a V neck long black shirt for 10 bucks, then we headed back home.  We ate at the Asian ghetto at about 9, 10 o clock now, and I got back home around 11:30.  What a day…
