I’ve lost track of time already. I don’t know what time of day it is, nor do I know what day of the week it is. Sometimes, I worry about it, but most of the time I drive on and hope that the next day is going to be a weekend.
I had a lot of fun today. It was mostly just mounted land navigation, but that was actually the best part. We went on in our humvees, hatches open, just riding around trying to find different points on the map. It wasn’t too hard, really. The part I really enjoyed was just going off road and fooling around with everyone else. We had 4 humvees, just flooring the pedal to the metal, trying to see how fast we can go.
Got back, ate, and since I had CQ, I managed to get everyone to come to the admin office to play games. We managed to get a lot of computers hooked up in here, and soon, we had counterstrike going. We played that for a while, and started to play some Warcraft III. Managed to get a 4 on 3 on 1 computer going, with Phann, Roberson and me on one team and Engel, Captain Eng, 1LT Akagi, and SGT Lodevico on the other. Roberson got batteried out cuz he forgot to plug in the power, and SGT Lodevico was kicked out real quick from the game. Engel got kicked out of the game cuz his computer reset by itsef, so later on we figured it dragged long enough so just left after a while. Everyone left after that, but CPT Eng and Phann and I stayed back to play a game of Starcraft. We played against 5 computers, and although in the beginning we lost about 2 or 3 different times, we came out victorious once again. This was the fastest night CQ I’ve ever pulled.
I think I’m starting to realize that I don’t know when to stop talking. Just the other day I said something like this in the Post Office, full of civilians as I was addressing my fellow soldiers: “I don’t know why anyone would want to live in this place. There’s nothing to do here in Wisconsin except to milk the cows.” Or just today I was talking to 1LT Akagi. He was on the Counterterrorist side, and I suppose CPT Eng was trying to jump up into the window in Italy map, but couldn’t. He said something like come on, get up there already. Then, I saw CPT Eng on the Window, and killed him. But I knew that Akagi was back somewhere. The thing is, after I detected him and killed him successfully, I kept making fun of him and how I managed to kill him with my genius… Or how about the other day when I said something about having loaded a bunch of tracer rounds to qualify during the night when I wasn’t supposed to be on the range. Well, at least I’ve “identified the problem.”
