Iraq War – Operation Iraqi Freedom War 12 – Ft. McCoy, Wisconsin – 2003

The rumors are getting worse everyday.  One day it’s, we’re leaving in 2 weeks.  Another it’s we’re going to get demobilized.  Today was one of the worse days, when I pretty much found out everyone has a different agenda regarding going home or not.  Sometimes, a lot of things have me worried, but I’ve never been so uncertain about my future before in my life.  We didn’t really do much today.  We did hand and arm signals with the vehicles, and went over Army Correspondence courses.  I got a 5 hour course done in 1 hour, so that goes for 1 more promotion point in becoming a Sergeant.  That having been said and done, I need to contact the school office so I can get my points straight with my APs and everything sent in.  Then we did Army Values training watching first two episodes of Band of Brothers.  Played softball for 10 pushups every point deficit.  We beat them, 26 to 9.  The first sergeant was on the other team, so this is one of the only times, I hope, I get to actually see him push.  He’s never lost a bet before…
