Just watched Kill Bill 2 with Patrick and David. I really liked the part about Superman, how he’s the only character that wears his original clothing. In fact, Clark Kent is actually his disguise, not the other way around. But that still doesn’t mean that I think he’s the better superhero. I still think Batman is better because it feels more realistic when it’s his manpower and McGuiver cleverness against the world rather than sheer super strength against evil. Of course Kill Bill 1 I thought was better because it had a lot more blood and action. I thought that meeting with the guy that knew Bill’s whereabouts was totally unnecessary, and if it was, it could have been better.
I just made some 125 dollars today selling 25-30 old DVDs at EBGames. It felt like I was selling old textbooks, with much better results. I mean, when you throw in movies like Demon Hunters and Chill Factor and Battlefield Earth and get that much money, you gotta feel proud of yourself. I have about 200 more that I decided to keep for keepsake, some of them are just indispensable at this point, like Schindler’s List and American Beauty, but others like Old School and Road Trip are also included.
I went to Cerritos Regional Park with Patrick and Sung. I just went cuz I remembered going there at the most random times during the nights with David Uyan when both of us were up and no one else was. So we’d go and feed the ducks, go eat some donuts at this shop that was open real late and just talk about anything, staring into the darkness… or don’t talk. And I wanted that to be the last thing I remember out of Cerritos before I head on north again. I miss those days.
I ship up north compliments of United States Army 1045 on 17 Aug 04. This is like picking up where I left off before the war, so I’m excited but nervous at the same time.
